Fontainebleau
Known throughout the world for its exceptional forest recognized by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve, its famous climbing spots, its cave paintings and its castle baptized "true residence of Kings" by Napoleon the first, today classified as a heritage UNESCO World; the city of Fontainebleau has many surprises and activities in store for you!
Barbizon
A small village of 1,200 inhabitants, Barbizon is a mythical place of pre-Impressionist painting in France. Chief town of what will be baptized "the Barbizon school" it has seen Robert-Louis Stevenson, Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley and many others pass through. It has now many museums and art galleries.
Moret sur Loing
A charming little village full of history, Moret was Alfred Sisley's place of residence for 20 years. Follow his footsteps on the banks of the Loing, admiring the small mills, the Renaissance facades, the fortified medieval gates, the old bridge that leads to the town or the charming Notre-Dame church.
And don't forget to taste a "sucre d'orge" ! Specialty of Moret-sur-Loing.
Milly-la-Forêt
In the heart of the French Gatinais regional natural park, Milly-la-Forêt is the specialist of medicinal and aromatic plants. You can learn more at the National Conservatory or at the small shops in town, such as Millymenthe, one of the best known.
Also take the opportunity to visit the house museum of Jean Cocteau or the Saint-Blaise-des-Simples chapel that he decorated and where he is burried.
Vaux-le-Vicomte
Want to combine pleasure and good action? Go to the Zoo-refuge La Tanière, an association that fights to protect wildlife and animal dignity. All the animals here (except those registered in the species conservation program) come from rescues that they have been abandoned, mistreated, illegally detained, used in laboratories or seized from private individuals.
Service Name
The castle of Vaux-le-Vicomte was built by Nicolas Fouquet at the request of Louis XIV in 1656. This brought together the best talents of the time: the gardener André Le Nôtre, the architect Louis Le Vau, and the decorator Charles Le Brun. This castle then served as a model for the construction, among other things, of the Palace of Versailles.

Small village between river and forest classified Regional Natural Reserve of Bruyères de Sainte-Assise, you can enjoy the surrounding hiking trails, the banks of the Seine to admire the ballet of barges in the dam, or a day of tree climbing few minutes away from the house.
